Sims 4 Family Changes?

Hello, I have only been playing the Sims 4 for a week so I'm not the most knowledgable, but my townies are different from the ones on the sims 4 wiki and no other posts have mentioned this. For example, the Spencer-Kim-Lewis family in my world has 7 members rather than 5 and the Goth family has 4 more children. Do you guys have this change in your worlds or is there something odd on my end?
