Any info/tips?

So I started cotw a couple days ago, and I feel like I’m doing ok. But I find it hard to hunt and stuff but I’ve been getting better so I figured that was whatever. But ive recently learned that there are diamonds and I don’t even know what that is. And I’m still using the starter rifle. I bought another one but I’m pretty sure it’s weaker than the starter. It’s just got good accuracy is all. So like, I know the basics of the game, but can someone give me like a small run through of like how can I level up and basically how to play the game correctly please?
