How to get around Screen Time
Here are some ways to get around screen time that nobody talks about and all you need is the password to your parent's phone.
If you have the device of a parent that has you on screen time, you can change the screen time password easily by just knowing their device password. So just by knowing their iphone password you can change the screen time passcode. The best part is you do not have to know the screen time password in order to change it. But the hard part is getting ahold of their phone while they are not looking. Just get ahold of a device that has them signed into it with their apple ID, such as their phone or IPAD. Once you have their phone or other device:
- Go to settings
- Click on screen time then your account
- Scroll near the bottom.
- Ask to change the password. Face ID will pop up but after a while of it not recognizing your face, it will ask you to type in the device password. Once you do that, you can then change the screen time passcode.
Another great thing about this is that you are changing the password for you only. If you have siblings their screen time passwords will not be affected at all. Just make sure to click on your account when you are trying to change it and go from there.
Your parent will get suspicious if your apps all of a sudden have no limits or downtime. So I suggest you keep quiet. Don't change any settings so all looks well. Now you know the password so you can give yourself unlimited time as you'd like.
There is one downside. Screen time still shows time on apps whether you like that or not. But there are ways to get around this. Lets say you spent 7 hours on your phone today. Screen time will show that you spent 7 hours and if you scroll to the bottom, it will show what apps you used and how much time you spent. But if you delete an app, then when you scroll to the bottom, that app will not be there. Your parents will be confused why it says you spent 7 hours on your phone but when they scroll to the bottom, the app will have been erased. You can tell them it's a glitch and get away with it.
But if you'd preferably want to erase all screen time data, just sign out of your apple id and sign back in. There is a downside though, all past screen time dates and information may be erased. Also, if your parent has some other controllability on your device that you may not be aware of, you might not be able to sign out of your apple ID.
What if you don't want to go through the trouble of changing the screen time password and instead just want more time on your apps?
You can add more time on your apps, within only a couple of seconds of touching your parent's phone. When you send a screen time request, it pops up as a notification first. Just open their phone, scroll down to look at their notifications on the front phone screen. Press down on the screen time request and it will allow you to give yourself more time and all you needed to do was log into their phone.
One last thing I want to bring up. This is for the crazy people out there but desperate times calls for desperate measures. If you want complete control over screen time, you can do this by reseting your parent's apple ID password. All you need is your parent's iphone password. Simply go into settings and change the apple ID passcode or even just sign out of their account. I call this crazy because it will sign them out of all of their devices that have apple ID in them. It may reset a ton of things on their device. And a bunch of other things depending. I don't recommend it.
But there you go. I just thought I'd give some tips and tricks since nobody really talks about the other possibilities besides finding sneaky ways to watch your parents type in the password. Goodbye.
