Do the second life Elixirs even matter?

I hate Churl. A magical backlash warranting the use of one feels stupid. But you do you I guess.

Tessia dying because she didn't go through intergration, even though it seems to me that Cecelia was unconscious during her own also seems stupid.

I don't know how the third will be used but please have it be a little bit better.

Edit: I guess I didn't explain well enough, since there is so much ignorance. What I am ultimately saying is that the problems solved by the second life Elixirs did not seem like huge problems, or at least not big enough to introduce the second life Elixirs with that much fanfare. Ultimately they could have been solve without them, with no adjustments to what we know about the world.
