Q re submitting medical charges without receipts, but with CC charge + insurance claims info
Dear all,
We will file itemized taxes this year due to large healthcare expenses. Total itemized expenses over 60K including medical care, property tax, professional courses etc.
I am wondering what is the probability of getting audited.
Some of the medical expenses I didn't save the receipt but I have the credit card charges demonstrating medical expenses and/or claims on my insurance. Can I still include those without the formal receipt?
Rr should I strictly stick to ones for which I have receipts?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
