Suggestions on cycling-route around Taiwan, mountains and nature
What do you think about this route for cycling around Taiwan in 14 days? I like mountains and nature, especially with grand views, and would like to avoid cycling through heavily urban areas on the west coast. Wuling pass is high on my list. Are there any other roads with good views I should consider?
Alishan is often mentioned, but I'm not sure if it's any good if you only cycle through on road 18/21 (not hiking), on google maps it looks like it is just heavy forest on both sides of the road with little views.
An alternative could be to ride more zig-zag and take the train back to taipei from a southern city. What do you think would be the best way to see the country?
