1st Pair of Sunglasses - Polarized or non-polarized?

Just ordered my first pair of sunglasses yesterday. I decided to do non-polarized because I really like the grey gradient on the lens. I'm doing prescription lens, so they will match the gradient as close as possible. The prescription lenses are also the higher end ones from Nikon.

Did I make the right choice? I'm overthinking a bit now, just called the place where I got the sunglasses from, they said if I want to match the gradient exactly the way it looks, then stick with non-polarized.

There is an option to get polarized lens with the gradient on it. But, it won't match the gradient shade exactly and the lenses won't be from Nikon. Thoughts? Given that this is my 1st pair, should I just stick to non-polarized and experience what its like first?
