Level 14 getting seal clubbed. Is this normal?

Older first person shooter here. My buds played very heavily team based games like rainbow siege and overwatch. We decided to move on (forced to with OW. OW2 is not the same) and looking at some PC games. Landed on LoL. I am actually having a lot of fun but…

There is always 1 teammate losing his mind on me bc I literally don’t know how to play the game.

Then on the opponents team there is one guy that kills me in a blink of an eye.

Is this normal? Like isn’t there ranked where you play other skilled players? I don’t understand why it pisses so many teammates off that I’m a newb? Why are they in this playlist if they most likely will encounter a noob?

Also I don’t understand why it’s fun to build a Smurf account to seal club some noobs?

I’m having a really good time playing this game. It’s a great team based game. I’ve played with several that are understanding.

I’m just wanting to know if this is how it’s gonna be till I climb. Is ranked better? Should I play more bots? Tbh I haven’t learned much from bots. Is there a noob playlist I’m missing? Could someone recommend a twitch player I can follow who teaches? We did that with overwatch and it helped a ton.
