Algoverse AI program

Hello, Im currently a junior and was rejected from all the summer programs I applied to. I am currently waiting on SIP for computer engineering and EE but have low hopes. I did however get into Algoverse AI program and its around 1.5 -2 months, and what they say is they "conduct authentic AI research under expert mentorship. Develop your own techniques and publish your results in a research paper." However the program is also 1750 dollars and the directors seem fairly young. I would love to do this program as Im interested in exploring AI and being able to write my own research paper but due to some of these factors its making me reconsider. If you did algoverse in the past please let me know your thoughts and your experience. Aswell as anyone else who would like to provide their ideas.
