Non-fiction written by experts

I've been very obsessed with a specific genre of non-fiction, and I desperately am looking for books to fulfil that itch. Help!

I'm looking for non-fiction books written by experts in their fields. This can be in any field really, but bonus points if it's in the fields of economics or the social sciences, and if it contains well-backed up research. I need ot to hit the sweet spot between "intelligent" and "understandable", I don't need it to be too dumbed down or too technical.

My current favourites in this genre are: - Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman - Poor Economics by Abhijeet Banerjee and Esther Duflo - Invisible Women by Caroline Criado Perez.

I am specifically not looking for: - self-help books - biographies - books written by "influencers", or any other non-expert - overly opinion-based books

Any help would be amazing, thank you!
