Looking to entice teenagers to read based on their love of video games.

I'm a secondary school English teacher and just trying to put together a list of books that inspired video games or outright adapted by video games in some form. Here's what I got so far but any suggestions (or suggested removals if not suitable for teens) are welcome.

As you can guess, I'm aiming for ages 11 - 18.

- The Road: if they like god of war, or the last of us then this is the most obvious place to start. Both directors cite this as a massive influence of their games.

- The Witcher book one: short stories based around geralt being awesome, slaying monsters and waxing philosophical on the nature of good and evil.

- Ready Player One: I love this book. Recommending it to them if they love jrpgs, retro games and 80s movies.

- Starship Troopers: I've *not* read this so don't know how suitable it is for teens but I'm suggesting it based off helldivers, xcom, halo, and any other sci-fi shooters.

- Metro 2033: another I haven't read, though its on my shelf. I know it's launched a whole series of games.

- King's of the Wyld: my personal favourite book of all time. Recommending it if they live skyrim, final fantasy, baldur's gate 3 and any other open world games.

Let's hear what you think I should have!
