I want that “can’t wait to get back to it” excitement about a book, but I’ve gotten pickier over the decades. Any suggestions like the list below?

These were some books or series that I had that feeling about, but as I’ve gotten older it seems harder & harder to find that “one.” I guess I’m looking for a world with unique characters or ideas to get immersed in, whether it’s epic or cozy. Not romance. Also, can’t get into Brandon Sanderson, even though by all logic I should.
