Finished The Tommyknockers and loved it!
I just wrapped up reading The Tommyknockers last night, and I have to say, I’m genuinely shocked by how much hate this book gets. I went into it with low expectations based on what I’d heard, but I was completely blown away by how much I loved it.
It reminded me a lot of Needful Things and Under the Dome. The small-town vibes, the gradual unraveling of the characters. Plus, I’m a sucker for long, detailed King novels, and this one delivered on that front. David Browns story was my favourite part of the book.
It’s made me wonder how many other books of his that are considered “lower-tier” I might end up enjoying just as much. My next read will be From A Buick 8. Nobody ever talks about it and It’s supposed to be connected to the tower so that’s next up.
