Just finished Pet Sematary…

Okay so I just finished pet Sematary. I have never read a horror book before in my life, but have read Stephen King books like Billy Summers and 11/22/63. So here I was thinking I’m going to pick up the scariest/ darkest Stephen King book and tackle my fear for horror by just reading it.

And I don’t really know what to think of it now that I’ve finished it.. It didn’t really scare me, it just made me feel sad. Can’t imagine losing my toddler like that, the aftermaths like his funeral were really sad to read, I also felt really sorry for Ellie and how the nightmares and stuff impacted her sanity and health.

Anyway it did make me feel a bit numb and sad though… so it succeeded in some way I think? I think that when I’ll read it in 15 years and maybe have a few kids the re-read will probably feel way more intense.

Also I had a question about the ending. No way that Rachel came back ‘good’ so do you think she killed Louis and then buried him in the graveyard? Because if so I imagine the whole town becoming zombies slowly by slowly, bit unsettling..
