New player - Starter pack choice - Titan vs Intrepid LTI

Hi,

I'm (soon) a new player joining.

I was going to get the Titan holiday starter pack (66€ instead of 83€) because i found on reddit that it was a nice versatile ship to begin with.

But as i looked others packs just for culture i saw that the intrepid starter pack (10 more bucks, 75€ instead of 89€) got a LTI insurance.

I saw a bit of content about melting or upgrading and do not fully understand it yet.

So is that possible for me to get the LTI intrepid pack just to secure that feature and downgrade to titan ? Or that sounds useless and i'm just overthinking it ?
