Star citizen or elite dangerous?

Please bear with me ik this is a long post. So im planning on buying one of these games because i love the idea of space exploring games, i loved No mans sky for just how much Space there is to explore (ik its called Space for a reason) and for the fact that i could go from space to ground without a loading screen. but there wasnt much to do. I loved starfield for the amount of stuff you could do and ships you could get and there was alot of space however it wasnt multi-player like no manys sky and you had loading screens between areas and planets. So based off of that (without spoilers of major story or missions) which one should i buy? And why?
