So are distribution centres fun?

So a mate and I decided to go out flying around micro tech today and came upon a distribution centre. We decided to land to take a look around to see what it was. On first glance it seemed pretty chill. Lots of boxes and NPCa just chillin around. So we went inside only to me come face to face with about 20 pirates. So it seems like there is something bigger to this? Is it like bunker missions 2.0? Or what type of missions are there? How are you meant to clean it out etc? It seems very large and we think it’s something that looks similar to a raid? But why is there friendly NPCs outside when it’s occupied by pirates? What’s the deal with them?
