Martial arts/ combat sports

I’ve been wanting to do Muay Thai for a while but my surgery is coming up soon. Will I still be able to start after my fusion? I’m worried that I won’t ever be able to start because I was planning to take classes with my brothers. Any one doing martial arts after spinal fusion that can offer advice on any alternatives if I can’t do Muay Thai?
