Thoughts on Bionic Reading?

What are your guys' opinions on bionic reading? It's been popping up a lot on TikTok and just all over the news in general. I've been experimenting a bit on the "official" website (if you could even be bolding words that) as well as this app and found that I can read faster. Idk if it's sustainable though because it seems to be more of a crutch that makes my actual reading slower when I'm not using it. Thoughts?
