What would be some non-touristy things to do in New York city as a solo female traveler there for 10 days?

EDIT: My 10 days are up and I leave NYC tomorrow morning and what a fun but also exhausting 10 days they have been. I feel like I want to make a post about all the suggestions I took from this post and my reviews of those suggestions coz I did take most of the recs from the comments. You guys unknowingly planned my itinerary and I fit so much into these 10 days but NYC is one of those cities where the more you know it, the more you know that you dont know it. But I am leaving happy and returning for a bougie girls weekend with friends in 3 weeks lmao but thank you all for these gems

I have done the touristy NYC stuff many times over.
I will be in the city from 20-30 Decmeber and I want to do things that are off the beaten path

I want to explore food (love all cuisines but heavy emphasis on Asian cuisines). Want to do most of my meals in the more affordable range of $20-30 with a few fancy meals thrown in
Art/Culture- Museums (Loved MOMA and MET (would like to go again) . Any suggestions for must see plays and shows other than the usual classics?
Books/Libraries- Want to find cute cafes/bakeries to read a book and also book shops to buy more books
Shopping- Any non touristy shopping areas?
Holiday Lights- Done the rockefeller tree lighting before. Some other lesser known lights would be fun to see
As for areas I know I want to spend a day in Flushing, a day or 2 in Brooklyn and thats about all the planning I have so far. I will be staying in Harlem
Any and all ideas would be super welcome.
