Best Snake for Beginners!

Hello everyone! I have been wanting a snake for a few years and wanted to get some feed back on what snake you think is the best for beginners! I do have experience with reptiles, just not snakes! P.S.

• Edit to add- Some things I do/don’t want. I don’t want a snake that will get more than 4-5 feet. Color does not matter. Cost does not necessarily matter for enclosure, but I would like a snake under $300. I don’t mind a snake that is more adventurous or one that is a little ‘lazy’. I do what something that will be good with handling.
