Serana: thoughts?

Does anyone else think that Serana is one of the worst followers EVER? Her powers are slow, and she barely helps. I was doing a side quest to go get the vampire rings and I had to fight off all of the Draugr by myself. It took her 20 minutes real time to kill the dragon priest. 🙄
