Why are some really good park skiers mean

I have gotten into the park this season but there are these really good kids that come to my local mountain who can do corks and backflips and stuff like that, but they always laugh and make fun of you if you fall, I attempted a 720 and over rotated and fell and then this kid who I see pretty often at the park laughed at me and called me trash. Why do people do this to people they’ve literally never met or talked to before?
