Might be a silly question but…
I just moved to Colorado beginning of December and have been skiing just about every week. I just started getting into freestyle and learning how to hit jumps but damn riding every week has got my shins feeling tender! I know without a shadow of a doubt my boots fit. Toes are snug but not scrunched and if I really tried I can get the boots to cut circulation off on my leg (lol obviously don’t ride with them this tight). Shin is sore right at the bottom where it meets the ankle. I started using gel pads just in that section to see if it would give my shins a rest and it definitely works but I wouldn’t say it “completely” removes the pain. Just makes it a little better. No bruising on the shin. Not Much swelling either. Not even sure if sore is the right word, just…. Tender. Not enough to make it unable to ride though. One thing I read is some people just naturally feel more comfortable driving their boot with a lot of weight in the shin. I think that’s sorta what I do. Like, The opposite riding backseat. Flex is a 130 boot btw so pretty stiff, but I wanted something very responsive. Does anyone have advice or is this normal and gets better with time. Also should mention I’ve only had 4 days on the boot so they are still pretty fresh. Thanks in advance for any insight! (:
