A simrig for a small place, Update

Some of you might remember the rig from the summer. A lot has changed since then. [Check out the old rig https://www.reddit.com/r/simracing/s/9Qx1Ejb2ZS

I decided to make a new post, hopefully thats ok.

The old rig was stiff enough to handle the DD+ direct drive, but you could feel the many screwed connections.

The height of the steering wheel also wasn't ideal for the shoulders, and it couldn’t be lowered further due to the crossbar wich would interfere with the knee. That bulky setup had to go.

Luckily, I work in mechanical engineering, and due to an oder error, a 1600mm 80x40mm profile was left over. So, I took the opportunity, secured it, and modified the rig in CAD and put it on the same right away.

The DD is mounted on the side, i like the clean setup. Since the mounting plates, which I needed as burn parts from steele, would have taken four weeks to be delivered from a contact of mine, I opted to order them as a ready-made kit with black profiles. Shame on me.

I've always missed a phone holder, so now the phone has its own spot, which can also hold a tablet.

The power supply used to be on the floor, but now it's mounted on the side rails, complete with a socket and USB ports.

The rig is still foldable, and the seat is removable for gaming with a gamepad.

So, this should be the final Version.
