Downsized from the NR200P to FormD T1

Recently, I was considering upgrading to AM5 and converting my AM4 build to a NAS. I eventually landed on just upgrading the CPU and since there was a discount on the new Corsair PSUs, I figured I’d downsize while I’m at it. I built my first SFF PC back in 2020 and wanted to change things up after years of seeing T1 and A4-H20 builds here.

This is the build:

Case: NR200P V1 -> FormD T1 v2.1 in Silver (took too long choosing between titanium and silver and titanium sold out).

CPU: 5600X -> 5700X3D

CPU cooler: Noctua U9S -> Thermalright AXP90-X47 Full Copper

Motherboard: ASUS Strix X570i

RAM: G.Skill TridentZ 32GB 3600MHz CL16

GPU: EVGA RTX 3080 10GB FTW3

SSD: SK Hynix P41 2TB (OS) and Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2TB (games). Had an EK heat sink for the 970 since it was getting hot in the back of the NR200P but had to take it off since it pushes my GPU in the T1.

PSU: SF750 -> SF1000. I don’t need 1000W but Amazon didn’t have the SF850 in stock when I placed my order and it has extra headroom if I want to upgrade GPU. Still plan on converting AM4 build into a NAS in the future.

Case fans: 2 Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM. Have 2 15mm Noctua slims in the NR200P for GPU when I built it.

I absolutely love how much more compact my PC is now and the best part? My thermals are pretty much the same and still quiet. Running a -30 PBO curve on the 5700X3D through BIOS and undervolting the GPU to 1800MHz at 800mV in both cases put me in the 60-mid 60°C range while playing on an ultrawide 3440x1440 144Hz.
