is anyone else here sewing with a disability that hinders their speed? how do you deal with it?
I'll admit I'm still not very experienced so a part of my lack of speed is definitely that, but I also have dyspraxia, which makes applied work like sewing extremely draining and slow since I have to concentrate on every movement I do and often synchronize bothof my hands.
because of this I've been feeling kind of dejected about the speed of my progress. I love sewing, and I have a ton of project ideas as well as clothes to fix, and it all feels like so much to me. and it's so frustrating because I always feel like I'm too slow and that because I'm slow I don't have enough skills to be considered good.
it doesn't help that I take a lot of inspiration from youtube videos, and a lot of them are like "I made this dress in one day!" meanwhile for me that same project would take up at least a week.
I just wanna hear about other people who struggle inthe same way and how you dealt with it
