back and chest pain
Hi all!!! 27(F) Last night i experienced muscle spasm in my shoulder blades and pain in my chest and i was wondering if anyone else has had the same experience. I know the chest pain is muscle because my cat stepped on my chest last night and it was excruciating. i've marked where the pain is on this lil diagram! I will attach my xray in the comments. had surgery in 2016 December and haven't had any severe problems since (i get lower back pain but it's manageable). It hurts to swallow or burp but not when i take a deep breath. i am curious as to what muscle or nerve connects these two regions?? Any insight would be lovely and any shared experiences are welcome! I used a TENS unit between shoulder blades last night and that helped me to stop crying in pain but this morning it is still sore and dull pain and chest only hurts when swallow and burping as previously stated.
