Is there a "scene" music taste?

This is very stupid but earlier i saw a thread, basically a girl on youtube posted a scene outfit in dti and this guy, lets call him A said it wasnt scene and stuff and a girl, B, said she was scene and the fit was accurate, relevent, she has a public playlist with breakcore music and nostaligic sounding songs and A told her that she couldn't be scene cuz she had a breakcore playlist.

So just to clear this up if someones scene, do they have to listen to scene songs? Is that a thing?
