Before I start

PSA: Kandi isn't actually scene! They have a larger importance within the raving community and while I'm sure they wouldn't mind sharing the love. It's important to know this was their's and Kandi isn't actually scene. Saying that I'm obviously not against anyone who does follow PLUR, it's just good to research a bit of back story.

As scene kids we didn't always wear kandi, it wasn't actually that common as some pics may make you believe. We wore different bracelets, some from bands, some with silly messages, random beaded bracelets, shaped rubber bands were a huge hype, and were traded often.

Anyways, with my topic these plastic strings were the hype of the 90s and 00s. They had different names I knew them as either gimp or lanyards, there are so many patterns, colours, tutorials all to make them as unique and creative as you'd like. I think we should absolutely get these going again, even along side Kandi. They were so fun to do and trade with friends.
