Line drops whenever I say numbers
Thus us a weird one! And I'm not sure if it's my Samsung phone (s23) or my network (ThreeUK).
Every time I start speaking a series of numbers out loud, for example reading a phone number out, or a reference number, my phone line drops and the person on the other end cannot hear the numbers. All other words are perfectly clear - it's only when I try to say more than one number in a row. It's perfectly clear when I speak words, however.
This has been happening for around a 9 months now. For the first 6 months, it only seemed to happen when I was on loudspeaker. However, now it happens on every single call, loudspeaker or not.
- It happens on both inbound and outbound calls.
- On both Wifi calling and regular network calling.
- It happens no matter if the person on the line is using a soft phone or a proper handset.
Yes, it's updated to the latest update. No, it's never been submerged in water. No, there's nothing blocking the microphone. The phone is 17 months old.
It's getting really annoying, as I cannot do any banking or manage any of my accounts over the phone as I cannot read out reference numbers. I went into a Samsung shop and they looked at me like I was insane and said they couldn't help. I've also tried raising a ticket with ThreeUK, but they said it wasn't their issue either. I'd get a new phone if I could afford it, as it's driving me mad.
Has anyone else experienced this? Even better - anyone got a fix?
