Thinking of starting resin, tips?

Hey all. I've been heavily looking into Resin printers. I have normal FDM printers, but don't have any experience with resin.

What happens to be a good starting place? I know I want to get either an 8k or 12k machine, but unsure where to really start my journey. The end goal is to make visors for cosplays and fun helmets. But I also really like stuff like Warhammer 40k and I'd end up making a lot of minis too.

Basically I guess, what are some dos and don'ts? Where should I be looking for details? Can you dye the resin to get a specific color, then printer with it? Any info is welcomed! Thanks all.
