How do i make the game 'less scary'

Hey, i've been hearing alot from people online that Resident Evil 7 is a must play game and it is really fun, so i've thought to my self lets play it. Now i am a person that really gets like scared etc by horror games 😭, but on the other side i really love the games (its kind like a love hate relation relation ship lmao). So my question is how do i make the game maybe just a bit less scary or any tips that just makes me a bit more 'chill' while playing, because i'd really really like to play the game, and not watch it on youtube.
