How to create relationship with recruiter when you don't immediately want a job?
I'm a accounting/finance professional with a CPA and about 7 years of experience in my field. I began a new position at a large company about 5 months ago, but already don't like it (bad wlb, boring work, and stress caused by management) and am planning to quit after the year mark because the signing bonus was pretty high and I don't want to job hop too quickly (I was at my last position for 4 years).
I'm getting a lot of LinkedIn headhunters reaching out with opportunities that I find interesting, but still don't want to change roles for now. However, I want to create relationships with these recruiters now for opportunities down the road when I am on the job market. But, I've found that when I'm open about that a lot of recruiters aren't interested in talking or simply ghost me, which I find strange because my understanding is that relationship building is a big part of the recruiting profession.
Any advice for how to best establish a relationship with a recruiter that might be mutually beneficial in the future?
