Southampton Road Garage: are they good?

Hi,

I recently posted about my car not starting and jumpstarting did not work. After days of no one knowing what was wrong, they did a compression test and said it came up as 45 PSI. They’ve said the engine is basically dead so either change the engine (which costs nearly as much as the car) or scrap it which gives me just about £100. just wondering if people would trust this or get a second opinion. I do not have much more to spend on this honestly especially if i have to buy a new car.
