Igor is overrated, change my mind.

I liked Tyler a lot before this album mainly because of his work with edgy subjects and his rapping. I liked the production of Igor and some of the tones reminded me a lot of cherry bomb but to me this album lacked substance and an overall message or intent. It kind of feels more like an instrumental album. I am not a fan of Tyler the creators singing, and I don’t mind it a little for hooks or just to add flare in verses but for a guy like him to release an album with barely any rap to just have his vocals pitched down it seems like he is trying to emulate Frank ocean(who I like), but is trying too hard to show that he is a changed artist instead of expanding on his already accomplished skill set. He is trying to transition into other genres which has worked decently for others but he didn’t commit all the way and it seems like he knew If he just put out some pitched vocals with little character on great instrumentals that people would be praised for it. Now I don’t know if he was chasing a Grammy of what, but it feels like he is trying too hard to expand his audience at the expense of his musical integrity. That is just my opinion, I’d love to hear some others
