How do you feel about respecting veterans?

i recently have been thinking about making a respect veterans patch because even though some have done evils many need to be respected from keeping freedoms we do have in the US. especially the ones who have terrible stories abt the brutality of isis and ww I + II and they should be respected imo. it’s really difficult to support the military or the system but what do you guys think about this? (i haven’t done a ton of research so this sound very unprofessional and uneducated apologies but i would like to know a punk’s perspective)
