Best Place for a Straight, 18 y/o Male?
Hi!
I am flying into PV this Friday for a 4 day adventure with my mom before she leaves, and then I will have 2 days in the area alone before I had back home as well. A few questions:
- First of all, she is very commited to going snorkeling and exploring the best beaches. Because of that we are tentatively planning to go to San Pancho (it might be called San Francisco?) to be on that beach and possibly take a boat ride to Las Islas Marietas - it seems like the best snorkeling is there. She doesn't want to move around too much so we will probably spend Friday night in PV and then 3 nights in San Pancho, unless you have a better town in mind for good beaches (that is not super touristy - she likes hanging more with locals).
- However, after a week of traveling in Mexico I won't care at all about being tourists, and just want as fun of a teenage/beach/party adventure as I can have for my last two days once she leaves. I thought PV would be the obvious answer, but it sounds like that is actually very catered towards gay people and may not be as fun for me...
- Is Sayulita really the right answer? I want a fun night life, and also possibly surfing but really just a place where I can meet cool people which could be English speakers or Mexicans. I've heard Sayulita is way more fun for straight people, but also that it's more expensive LOL.
TL:DR
I want to understand the groundwork surroung PV better. I don't know which city would be best for me as a straight teenage male looking to meet cool people in a Hostel type stay and have fun at night.
