Good for my first time restoring?

I am looking at buying this 1965 mustang for $4,500. I have done very little mechanic work myself but I am not scared to learn. The car add says it only has some surface rust. The interior looks somewhat ok for it's age and the motor is a not original 1965 289 V8. Do you believe this is a suitable car for a newbie and also is the price alright for the condition?
