1/3 NLHE Hand Analysis
At my local casino. Have $200 stack in 1/3 NLHE game.
Folds to MP who raises to $12. HJ 3-bets to $30.
Hero is in CO with QQ. Standard play feels to 4-bet to around $100 to try to isolate, however that would only leave $100 behind. I decide to take this approach and 3-bet to $100, both MP and HJ call $100.
Flop comes 8h9h10c.
Obviously feels good not to see A or K, however it is super coordinated flop.
MP and HJ both check to me. I check back.
Turn is 4h, completing potential flush. MP leads out for $75. HJ snap folds.
Obviously I’m going all in or folding, can’t call with only $25 behind in a $400 pot.
My question is, what hands would MP raise preflop and then flat call 4-bet, that would drill this board. Suited connectors like J10 hearts? Ax hearts? Obviously don’t put him on KK or AA as that would have shoved pre.
I decide to make the call and he shows Ah10s.
River comes another heart and he wins.
Did I play this okay?
