She laid an egg. What do I do

So you might have seen me here before, i’m the parent of a rescued pair of incestuous pigeons. it’s finally happened, she laid an egg. People advised to get a fake egg so this one doesn’t hatch. But i’m worried like will she be psychologically ok? like won’t she get frustrated that her “egg” never hatches and think she’s a bad mom? will her husband/brother leave her because he thinks she’s an unfit mother???

I’m almost tempted to let them hatch at least one baby they can raise, but my partner is very against the idea.
