Trying to remember a dreamlike b&w photographer
I came across his art around 15-20 years ago. It was mostly black and white and had a dreamlike, surrealist, and lightly playful vibe. I only remember one photo with detail: three men in bowler hats and suits with backs to the camera robotically looking at their watches while appearing to be rising or sinking into the earth. They looked like they could be creepy villains from an evil bureaucratic organization. It made me think of the bad guys in the book Momo by Michael Ende (more famously, he also wrote The NeverEnding Story, if you’re looking for a good book to read).
So lots of black and white photography, lots of business men in suits and bowler hats doing absurd or improbable things. Ring a bell at all?
