Culling photos as a newbie wildlife photographer... will this get easier and more enjoyable?

I'm a hobbyist photographer shooting wildlife, mainly birds. I'm really enjoying it. There's nothing better for me than being out there in nature. Figuring out what settings work and what doesn't, learning about lighting/composition, etc - it's all been really fun for me.

Which brings me to culling all the photos I've taken... and there's a lot. With fast moving birds, I just let the shutter rip. I was out for 3 hours this morning and probably took 800. A few of them are good, most of them are bad. I absolutely detest sitting at my computer sorting through everything. I've been at this for an hour, and I'm not even halfway done. Everything starts to look the same after a while, my eyes go funny and I end up keeping far too many.

Do any of you actually enjoy this process? Any tips or tricks to speed this up or make it more enjoyable?
