Starting My Financial Journey: Seeking Tips on Investing and Strategy at 23

I just started my career and want to make great financial decisions from the jump. I’m 23 and want to harness the power of compound interest while I can. Let me give you a run down of what I’m working with so far.

I keep about one months worth of cash in my checking account. All expenses go on my credit card and I pay them off in full at the end of every month.

I have a high yield savings account where my goal is to have enough money to cover about 3-6 months of living expenses.

I have my employer sponsored 401k that I put about 50% of my paycheck into right now (can’t do this for long, but will be doing this until I move away from home / max out the annual limit).

I just opened a brokerage account with Vanguard and want to contribute some money here too. I was planning on investing in an index fund, but I notice my 401k is already invested in a vanguard index fund. I’m wondering if a better strategy is to diversify my brokerage account from my retirement account and invest in individual stocks.

Any tips for me? Mainly looking for some beginner investment strategies / some input on my current financial spread. I’m not opposed to higher risk investments and I’m debt free. My goal is to grow my net worth and invest as much as I humanely can before I have more financial obligations. I budget every month and record every dollar that leaves my pocket.

Also, if anyone has any easy to follow resources please do share them. I’m new to all of this so I appreciate things said simply. Hope I’m off to a good start!
