Slow Speed on New Samsung 990 Pro SSD(2TB)

Hey everyone, I just recently bought a Samsung 990 Pro SSD w/ heatsink (2TB) and its advertised read speed is up to 7450MB/s. I ran a benchmark with Samsung Magician and here are the results. Not nearly what I was promised.

I have 3 drives on my computer, a 500gb SATA SSD which has my OS on it, a 2TB HDD, and a 2TB SSD. I do plan on eventually migrating the OS to the new SSD and using the other (500GB) for regular storage. Would my OS not being on the new and faster SSD hinder its performance?

I installed the new SSD into the appropriate slot, the top slot near the motherboard. I also just recently updated my BIOS, so I know its up to date.

I have heard that you have to enable PCIE 4.0 to reap the benefits of the full read/write power on the SSD, not sure how to do that or if it is true at all.

I also read online that if you 4k align the drive it should increase the speeds. While I'm sure it would help my read speeds, I doubt it would make THAT much of a difference.

Let me know what you guys think I really want to reap the maximum out of this new drive!

UPDATE

I 4K Aligned the SSD and now my read/write speeds are even worse than before. I don't really know what to do at this point.
