Florida should have it's record lows be it's true hardiness zones. There are no mountains in the way to shield from cold winds unlike Tennessee so although rare, the record low temperatures are often swift and very brutally cold, and it feels way colder than the temperature actually may be factoring in the humidity also and the usual heat of Florida. Orange trees are often frozen dead when this happens and costs millions of dollars. Expensive palm trees die by the thousands also. Florida is the most prolific state for this to happen so people should really pay attention to this cold hardiness zone map that I made and use it instead of the normal USDA cold hardiness zone map. The winds blowing off the Florida ocean can be very cold during cold snaps and there is nothing in the way to stop them.
