Stop Safely - Vehicle will shut off soon

We’ve had this warning pop-up like five times now… four of which were on the interstate at high speeds and moderately heavy traffic.

The first time we had it towed to the dealership and they said it was a short in the adaptive cruise control sensor. They had our car for two weeks waiting on the part. After picking it up it came on again on the drive home. I brought it back the next day and they scanned for codes and then reset everything and asked me to keep him updated. He did mention something about maybe getting on a list for the “transmission upgrade” or something like that.

It was fine for a few weeks, but then it happened two or three more times on the same overnight trip. When the light comes on, you have a minute or two to throw on the hazards, find the shoulder, and hope everyone is paying attention behind you.

After sitting for a minute or two, you can drive again. Just restart the car and the warning is gone but the check engine light is on.

We just passed Illinois’ one year term for the lemon law.

Anyway, has anyone else been dealing with this and what has been your experience as far as Chrysler making things right?
