A little worried about the movie…
I was just as hyped for the movie as you all probably are and I still am, BUT it’s a movie, I’m worried what they will need to cut/tone down to get it to be R rated.
I know everyone’s first thought is: TERRIFIER! But terrifier is A. An indie film and B. Unrated. Outlast is being produced and subsequently funded by Lionsgate, a big Hollywood company. There’s no chance in hell they will let a movie like T3 fly. What does this have to do with Outlast? Well since it’s at lionsgate they won’t do unrated. It’s almost certainly going to be R rated.
They will not have the same leniency that Damien Leone was given for the Terrifier series. Outlast is obviously a dark, disgusting game with awful subject matter and content with like 35% of that shit never flying for an R rating. So my question is what are they going to have to tone down/remove to fit that R rating?
I know Lionsgate made SAW and a few others but Outlast makes those look like Saturday morning cartoons and you can’t argue that lmao.
