Running Higher Resolution

Hello, I am reaching out here to get a “for dummies” explanation on how I can run my original unmodded Xbox with higher resolution and quality.

I know I can obviously find and buy component cables, but curious if devices like the ElectronXout or similar actually allow me to run games in 720p and so forth.

I would rather use something that utilizes HDMI because my TV doesn’t have component ports.
