Options trading on Public. Thoughts?
Curious to hear what’s your thoughts on Public’s new options trading platform. I have been using Public since May 2022 when I first got into investing and really like the platform for trading equities but use Webull for options since Public never had it. They finally brought options tradings to the platform but this 50% off thing is throwing me off a bit.
This is the post:
“Today, we're excited to introduce options trading on Public-one of our most requested features for quite some time. And with this launch, we'll be sharing 50% of our options trading revenue, directly with you.
Every time you place an options trade on Public, you'll receive 50% of our options trading revenue, minimizing your transaction costs.
We believe in the importance of transparency. Not just so you know exactly what things cost, or what our incentives as a company are—but also so we bring more transparency to the markets overall, and how they work for investors like you.
Sharing 50% of our options revenue with you means you'll know exactly how much money we make from your options trades because we're literally giving you half of it. The amount that we earn from each of your transactions is exactly what you earr as well.
In other words, we're offering the cheapest way to trade options.
Sharing our options revenue is an industry first, but it's not the only way we approach options trading differently.”
